Back in February 2011, Daring Fireball suggested Apple was going to shift to a 6-month production cycle. He predicted the Apple iPad 3 would be launched during the time period Apple usually discussed the iPod; that is, September.
Since John Gruber’s post, numerous outlets continue to publish “leaked” information about the iPad 3. For example, this past week focused on the screen resolution – an improvement of potentially up to 5 x 6 times the iPad 2.
There is no doubt that Apple leaves consumers wanting a new feature or an improvement of a feature.
The iCloud announcement and iOS 5 made during the WWDC are significant – yet – an iPad 3 with greater screen resolution is appealing.
